Accursio is a Ballroom and Latin specialist associated with the Associated Board of Dance (ABD).

By the age of 15, he was competing internationally as a representative for England, going on to win major UK titles and numerous international championships. He ranked 2nd in England in 10-Dance Ballroom and Latin before turning Professional in 2008. His professional highlights include finalist appearances at the San Francisco Open World Championships and the German Open Championships, and ranking Top 5 in UK Professional Ballroom at the UK Closed Championships for six consecutive years.

With over 31 years in the industry, Accursio has built an internationally respected career as a competitor, lecturer, coach and adjudicator, regularly invited to teach and judge championships worldwide.

He is the Founder and Director of the Celebrity JustDance Charity Event (formerly Strictly MK), the first event of its kind in Milton Keynes. Over five years, the event raised more than £169,000 for charities including Willen Hospice, Macmillan Cancer Support, Keech Hospice and MK Dons SET, establishing itself as a flagship fundraising event in the region.

Since founding JustDance Academy Ltd in 2009 — now Romeo Dance Academy Ltd — Accursio has dedicated himself to developing dancers at every level, from complete beginners to world-class competitors, while also creating choreography for stage and professional productions.

In addition to this, Accursio works within the television and film industry as a Creative Movement Director and Choreographer. His screen credits include the Netflix feature film 10DANCE and BBC productions such as Father Brown, Sister Boniface and Shakespeare & Hathaway, among others.

Passionate about making dance accessible to all, Accursio has been a fully qualified Ballroom & Latin Wheelchair Dance Sport Instructor since 2015. Romeo Dance Academy remains the only dance school across the three closest counties to offer Wheelchair Dance Sport classes.

Sophie Collett

Sophie graduated Stella Mann College back in 2021 with a First Class Degree in Performing Arts. Before this, she trained at Northampton College on the dance course as well as her old dance school ‘Platinum Dance Academy’, now known as ‘The Company of Arts’. Sophie was a competitive freestyle disco dancer from the ages of 11-17, competing all across the country as well as competing in national competitions.

Since graduating college, Sophie has worked professionally as a singer/dancer/actor, making her a versatile performer in this field. Her credits include; Graduate London Fashion Week (Dancer and Assistant Choreographer), MAZEYTRAP – Black Diamond (Music Video), Disney Promo Shoot: Frozen The Musical – Anna (Stand In), Dancer for GG Staffing & Entertainment, ‘In It Together’ Festival as a dancer, Dancer for Evolve Entertainment, “An Evening of Burlesque” UK Tour – Showgirl, Mother Goose Pantomime (Northants Tour 2022), ‘Michael Starring Ben’ UK & Europe Tour as backing vocalist, ‘Tiny Dancer – The Music of Elton John’ UK & European Tour as backing vocalist.

Sophie made her arena debut at Coca Cola Arena in Dubai with ‘Michael Starring Ben’ and continues to tour with the show whilst teaching beginner and advanced heels at Romeo Dance Academy.

Sophie found a love for Heels whilst training at Stella Mann under Hannah Levitt-Collins. Since graduating she has continued her training with Hannah and has grown her foundations and knowledge of the style, ready to teach to the next generation.
