Julie first put on her dancing shoes aged 5 years old and completed all her Latin-American & Ballroom Medal Tests at an early age.

In 1992, with five 1st places at major events to her name, her footprints were felt by the famous wooden floorboards at the Tower Ballroom, Blackpool; where Julie and her dance partner claimed their place as The British Open Junior Latin American Champions. In the spirit of stepping out of the comfort zone, Jade tried Ballroom and Latin dancing for the first time during Fresher’s Week at university, and has been hooked onto the sport ever since.
